Valhalla Grand Hall Rental Policies
  • Access to the Valhalla Grand Hall will be coordinated with the Tahoe Tallac Association.
  • Parking is limited to the Valhalla Parking lot. Parking is not allowed off asphalt, on bike trail, in front of main building, or on the one lane road since it is considered a fire lane and must be kept clear at all times.
  • Use of the Property is restricted to the hours of 7:00 am and 11:00 pm.
  • All furniture, including garbage cans, must be put away at conclusion of event.
  • Garbage liners are provided for refuse and dumpster is available adjacent to the Valhalla driveway. It is the renter’s responsibility to remove all refuse from building, grounds, porches and premises.
  • Set up and clean up is the responsibility of the renter.
  • Pets must be on leash or under voice command at all times. Pets, other than service animals, are not allowed within the buildings of the Tahoe Tallac Site. All owners must clean up after their pets.
  • Building capacity 120 persons maximum.
  • Upstairs balcony capacity is not to exceed 40 persons - 20 per side.
  • Fire extinguishers are placed by the main door, upstairs and back door.
  • At this time, wedding ceremonies may not be held outdoors. Receptions are allowed outdoors, some restrictions may apply.
  • Please, no rice, birdseed, confetti, potpourri, glitter, rose petals or any substance of that nature.
  • Smoking is prohibited inside the building or on the deck.
  • Decorations may be used; however, no tape, nails or staples can be used on building surfaces. Hanging from cup hooks is mandatory, only drip less candles are to be used and must be in stationary containers. Candles must be used cautiously in the fireplace hearth area ONLY.
  • Music must be maintained at a reasonable volume and allowed indoors only.

  • Weddings at Valhalla utilize the service of several professional vendors; e.g. coordinators, caterers, florists, photographers, decorators, etc.  Please check with the office for a list or visit the Lake Tahoe Visitors Authority web site:  www.bluelaketahoe.com

Policies

  • Setup on day of booked event: Additional time may be arranged for $250.00 per hour.
  • Clean-up: Immediately following the contracted event.  All rental equipment must be removed from building on day of event and nothing is to be stored in building for next day pickup. A refundable $1500 cleaning deposit is required.
  • Wedding Rehearsal: Rehearsals may be scheduled prior to the event at a cost of $100.00 for 1 hour. We do request the minister/pastor etc. be present to assist in the rehearsal.
  • Payment: A non-refundable rental fee in full is due 60 days prior to the event by personal check, cashier's check, credit card or money order.
  • Security Deposit: A deposit in the form of an open credit card must be on file to ensure proper use of facility.
